Dandy Wellington is a bandleader, entertainer, event producer, and creative consultant, born-and-raised in Harlem, New York. Influenced by the style and skill of classic entertainers of the past but with his feet planted in the present, it’s no surprise that this Tisch grad has made a name for himself across the globe. From producing stylish events all over New York to performances in St. Petersburg, London, and Sydney, Dandy solidifies himself as not only an impeccably dressed man-about-town, but a bonafide man-of-the-world.

Boasting an impressive and eclectic list of clients that includes the likes of Pomelatto, Bergdorf Goodman, RewardStyle, and the National Museum of African Art, Dandy puts his uniquely well-dressed stamp on everything from his events to his music. Whether he’s organizing a dinner party at Norwood Club or crooning with his jazz band at The Rainbow Room, the crowd is well-coiffed and the scenery is elegant.

Dandy’s signature panache and eye for detail has earned him features in The New York Times, Vogue Magazine, and various other outlets renowned for their taste and sophistication. Mr. Wellington epitomizes the undeniable cool of the Jazz Age, while also bringing a progressive perspective befitting of the ever-changing landscape of our modern lifestyle. His appreciation for the swinging big bands, elegant parties, and beautifully tailored clothing of the 1920’s/30’s, paired with his contemporary edge, make him a certifiable renaissance man and a true modern dandy.

Very nice. I assumed that you would have been there longer. I can’t fathom the effort of moving all your beautiful things.

  2. Sophia Museologist on July 23, 2021 at 8:52 pm

The nightclub map of Harlem was my favorite! I love complex detailed pieces of work where you can discover things every time you look at it. Kind of like your office! I also always like to hear why people like certain pieces of art, it adds so much to the piece to know a person’s connection with it.

  3. Aaliyah Dailey on July 23, 2021 at 8:54 pm

Peep the "young, scrappy and hungry" button

  4. The214thRabidFangirl on July 23, 2021 at 8:54 pm

Honestly my favorite was the double decker bus. That was a great point about keeping memories around and I could tell from your voice how important it was to. Second up after that would probably be that gorgeous black velvet painting

  5. drawfastdieyoung on July 23, 2021 at 8:54 pm

Yes, please! Menswear books and those with vintage photography from the 20s to 50s (less rules, more eye candy)

  6. A Life Like Vera on July 23, 2021 at 8:55 pm

I love to be surrounded by inspiration when working in my office/craft room totally love the Duke pics.

  7. Wynne W.H on July 23, 2021 at 8:55 pm

The pandemic actually induced a house move for us and I’ve had the opportunity to set up my new space exactly as I like it. Having a space that’s both cosy and inspiring makes it a lot easier to work from home. Congrats on 10k and I am here for all the style you can give us!

    Edit: THE BAGS WHAT 😍

  8. bridgetisadreamer on July 23, 2021 at 8:57 pm

What a lovely space. Thank you for the tour! Im gonna admit though that I kept getting distracted looking at the art and hats so the closeups were greatly appreciated. Again, thanks for the tour and I hope you are able to stay safe and well.

  11. Blake Canham-Bennett on July 23, 2021 at 9:02 pm

Thanks for the Blakesby shoutout, Dandy! Great video as always. 😀

  12. Kate 2 Create on July 23, 2021 at 9:03 pm

While I’m looking at your video because I’m trying to get inspiration for vintage decor, when I saw the Darkwing Duck mug, I squealed lol!

  19. chikitabowow on July 23, 2021 at 9:13 pm

I love homes filled with vintage furniture and designs, but especially offices where almost everything is vintage/retro really has a special place in my heart. Thumbs up!

I love your sense of style and the joy you take in sharing it with us.

  21. Ruth Wezeman on July 23, 2021 at 9:17 pm

I loved your tip about having art that is kind of “out there” to help you process things and be inspired. I’m going to work on getting that for myself. Also, I’ve been meaning to say that I love your hats! And your whole style, of course 😍

  22. KayBeeWolf on July 23, 2021 at 9:17 pm

How are u hanging those hats? I need tips

  23. Abby Plemmons on July 23, 2021 at 9:17 pm

What type of hooks do you use to hang your hats on the wall?

  24. A Dedow on July 23, 2021 at 9:21 pm

  27. Robin Woodward on July 23, 2021 at 9:25 pm

Loving your videos! From an isolated Dandy living in Devon England not quite up to your standard though!!

  28. DidierLeclair on July 23, 2021 at 9:27 pm

  29. Ama Eve on July 23, 2021 at 9:27 pm

You are fabulous and I adore you ❣️

  30. Cody Yount on July 23, 2021 at 9:28 pm

Your pin collection boxes looks like my gauge collection. I use a cigar box to store my tunnels, plugs, and (surprisingly) vintage tie clips.

  31. TheBrat Queen on July 23, 2021 at 9:28 pm

I love how you managed to blend the stylish vintage decor with modern things like the computer. It felt cohesive with nothing jarring. Also that Darkwing Duck mug is A++++

  32. Daniel Earle on July 23, 2021 at 9:29 pm

Do you have a Darkwing Duck inspired outfit?

  33. pigling bland on July 23, 2021 at 9:29 pm

My favorites are the artworks and hats. 💓

  34. Crafting Diva on July 23, 2021 at 9:29 pm

    Fred and Ginger! Hooray!

  39. Caeruleus Berolinensis on July 23, 2021 at 9:34 pm

What an inspiring space! I love the warm colours and all the images on display. Arranging a limited space to work both functionally and aeshetically can be a challenge (hello, I’m one of those people who re-arranged my workspace in lockdown to make it more bearable :D), but I think you’ve done a great job. The bold colour works perfect as a video backdrop too as it makes one think of your wardrobe.
Looking forward to see the video on top menswear books!

  40. Jessica London on July 23, 2021 at 9:34 pm

I love how cheery your videos are. I love the fact that there are interesting vintage lovers out there like me. Here in Indiana, people think it’s strange how I dress and that what I love is old fashioned. I’m not from the midwest, so it’s nice to be reminded there are other interesting people out there who love history and old music.

  41. The Flying V-S Farm on July 23, 2021 at 9:35 pm

What do you use to display your hats on the wall- I have some vintage pieces I wear that is love to add as decor! Thank you for sharing your space with us!

    Ms. Rebecca.

  46. Swanofdreamers on July 23, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Love the map of Harlem. I spent many days in Harlem with my grandmother. It feels like another home to me. 😊

  47. Julia Skott on July 23, 2021 at 9:43 pm

I think my favorite part is that bright purple wall; it sets everything else off so well and is such a specific shade.

  48. Stefanie M&M on July 23, 2021 at 9:45 pm

I love the hat collection! I kept my grandfather’s hats when he passed love having them hung on my wall.

  49. MG on July 23, 2021 at 9:46 pm

I stumbled across a catalog I think you’d like (or perhaps you’re already familiar with it) – it’s called the Owner’s Manual by the J. Peterman Company. They have so many beautiful vintage(ish) pieces, all illustrated in watercolor, plus romantic stories to go along with each one! Check them out online if you’d like – I really think it would be your vibe.

  50. The Vintage Voyageur on July 23, 2021 at 9:50 pm

Fantastic!!! Love your workspace! I have a similar setup in my room. We love a multi-functional space!
